Design Competition: 2nd Prize*
The second winning scheme of the design competition for the recladding of London’s Metropolitan University, Holloway Road tower building. The proposal is for a controllable shading façade system. The louvres can pivot through through 90 degrees (can be controlled by astronomical data operating the actuators to track the path of the sun) creating an everchanging undulating façade. The louvres are also fitted with PV panels.
