Petros Tsoukalas

Petros Tsoukalas is a talented designer with many years of experience across a range of sectors, working on a number of high profile prestigious projects in the UK and internationally. He received his Diploma in architecture in 2004 at Westminster University in London under David Greene (Archigram). In 2008 he completed his Part III exam and joined the Architects Registration Board.

Petros spent 13 years working in Pascall + Watson Architects where as a senior architect he was involved in several large-scale transport projects, rail and aviation, historic buildings, as well as educational and research and development facilities. Under Pascall + Watson Petros has won several design competitions as well as delivered a number of successful projects including the New Dyson School of Design Engineering for Imperial College London where he led the design right from the beginning all the way to completion delivering the project on site with the contractor.

Under Michael Sparks Associates Petros designed and led the Phase 2 development for Silverstone Park delivering with the contractor 13 contemporary industrial units and has been involved with the design of a number of mixed use industrial developments across London.

As a student during his placement year in Athens, he was involved in the international design competition for the conversion of the FIX brewery into the National Museum of Contemporary Art where the team (3SK architects) subsequently won the 1st prize.

Petros’s enthusiasm and passion for high quality design led him to create his own Design Studio, PTA Design Research Studio in Putney, South West London where has successfully carried out a number of winning design competitions and completed some private commercial and residential projects. His work has been widely published in several high-profile international and Greek architectural magazines and online.
